About Us

We are a small group of aspiring filmmakers, editors, and artists, striving to produce excellence in every aspect of our work and lives. We are dedicated to the idea that quality shouldn't cost a fortune.

The Focus Ring team has a combined 16 years in the digital editing industry. We have been editing digital video since early 2000 -- we bought our first Firewire card off eBay for almost $150. A JVC digital camcorder soon followed (what cost us $800 then is going for less than $75 on eBay at the moment!) and we've been hooked ever since. Together, we have filmed short films, music videos, weddings, feature-length independent movies, and school projects. We have dabbled in everything from stop-motion to CGI, and over the years we've gotten pretty proficient at what we do. So without further ado, meet our staff:

Kevin England
Chief Videographer & Editor
Kevin has been making movies since 1997 and working with digital editing since early 2000. He is the technical genius behind Focus Ring and has the know-how to do just about anything with a camera. In his hands, a camcorder becomes a tool that captures beautiful works of art. There's nobody you want on your side more when it comes to commemorating a special event.

Jason Craig
Assistant Videographer & Public Relations

Jason too has been making movies since 1997, and started in digital editing in 2000. He's handy with a camcorder and a qualified editor, but he enjoys the customer relations aspect: getting to know every client, networking, and working to guarantee that each production goes as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Karri Pasteris
Organizational Assistant
Karri is our Portland connection, and often times our street map when filming brings us north. With seven years of experience as a student journalist, Karri remains a skilled and enthusiastic communicator. She facilitates discussion and meetings between Focus Ring and its Portland-area clients, and assists with pre-event venue evaluation to plan for the very best possible set-up for filming. She continues to stay in contact with customers through the completion of services and product delivery to assure satisfaction.
