Rush Jobs

Rush jobs are, as the name implies, and jobs that are done more quickly than normal. Focus Ring does offer this option on select services, most commonly weddings. Because of the nature of a rush job, we ask an additional fee to expedite your video. Please contact us for a quote on your particular job, as the price varies depending on the workload involved.

Slideshows

We will take your photos* and turn them into a beautiful slideshow, complete with edited transitions and music. To compile a slideshow from pictures from your wedding, we will need them submitted in one of the following formats: .bmp, .jpg, .gif, .pdf, .raw, or .psd. Please don't hesitate to contact us with further questions.

The Platinum slideshow consists of unlimited photos and music (no more than ten minutes max).

The Gold slideshow consists of 50-70 photos of your choice (usually 4-6 minutes).

The Silver slideshow consists of 20-30 photos of your choice (usually 2-3 minutes).

*photos must be delivered to us before final DVDs are made; we do not take photographs.

Videos

Short Highlights Video: the name says it all; this is a short video capturing the highlights of your event. Its actual length will depend on how much footage is taken, but these are generally around 5-8 minutes long, and include the most important pieces: vows and rings exchanged, arrival of the bride and groom at the reception, cutting of the cake, garter and bouquet toss, dancing, etc. While these videos are primarily intended to capture the day in brief, they flow seamlessly and do a magnificent job of reminding the viewer of the day in only a few minutes.

Long Highlights Video: again, the name sums it well. The Long Highlights Videos are usually 30-60 minutes in length, depending on quantity of footage recorded, and tell the complete story of your day. Interviews are often included in these, as well as all the major points listed in the Short Highlights Video section, plus a lot more. If you want to remember every detail with the perpetual clarity of video, this is what you're looking for.

High Definition

HDV is a superior compression format than DV that lends itself to DVD more readily than conventional Standard Definition (SD) methods because it uses a MPEG2 variant, just like DVD. In completely uncompressed video, the color space information reads 4:4:4; it would be impractical to try to fit that on conventional media and play it back because most equipment wouldn't be able to handle that much information. A standard DVD has a compressed 4:2:0 color space. DV has a 4:1:1 color space, but when it is compressed to a DVD format, the math doesn't work out and it ends up losing information and becoming 4:1:0. HDV has the same color space as a DVD and so, even when compressed down to standard definition for a DVD, it retains its full color space.
